What are WEPs?
The Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) are a set of guidelines developed through a partnership between UN Women and the UN Global Compact. These principles provide guidance to companies on how to promote gender equality and empower women in the workplace, market and community. By becoming signatories to the WEPs, we join a global network of companies dedicated to advancing gender equality and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
Our commitment to gender equality
At BBLTranslation we recognise the importance of diversity and inclusion in driving innovation and delivering high quality services to our clients around the world. By joining the WEPs, we reaffirm our commitment to gender equality in three key areas:
1. Workplace: our goal is to foster a work environment that provides equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of gender. This means ensuring equal pay for equal work, forecasting women in leadership positions (women’s representation in senior manager/director roles), and offering continuous support for professional growth and work-life balance.

3. Community: we’re dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities we serve, both locally and globally.

Why is it important?
